Has anyone toyed around with their ejector spring. I have been thinking about taking a coil or two off mine (or a spare spring) to minimize the damage it does to my brass. I just wondered if anyone else has tried this with any success.

This is what it does to my case necks. I know it’s supposed to get the brass out, but I would like to see if it can do it in a not so violent way.
Any ideas would be helpful.
