Appearance & Finish?

What do most of you use on your AR to make the black finish look darker.
Mine when first out of the box was a nice black, however its starting to
have a white chalky look to it. Is there anything anyone suggest for
bringing back the black color.

CLP soak

I use CLP and a BLACK rag.

I use a silicone rag. It keeps the surface nice and black and adds an extra layer of corrosion protection.

Yeah, buy some paint and paint it, black rifles are gay. Aluminum won’t corrode so wiping it down is a waste of time.

I can’t see any black under all that Krylon…:stuck_out_tongue:

It’s a tool for me, so I don’t get wrapped around the axle in worrying about the color of my AR…

Matter of fact, I don’t wipe down my Dewalt drill either, and I paid good money for that, and I take care of it and use it all the time…

Yup! Easiest way to darken it. CLean it and wipe it down with silicone cloth.

I’d say Breakfree CLP works best to darken the finish due to its teflon content.
