I was considering lightening my M&P9 trigger slightly which is now around 4lbs. Originally had the Apex sear and striker block installed and it was perfect. Sent it off to S&W for an upgrade for the dead trigger issue. The sear was reinstalled after, the striker block was untouched. The pull weight is not the same. It really looks like S&W changed the trigger return spring. I only want to reduce the weight slightly to the previous state, probably would not use the complete kit. Also, it’s not a main carry firearm, mostly for range and home defense.
I know 4lbs is very light already but I really liked it a closer to above 3. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this kit? Would a lighter trigger return spring be all that is necessary?
