Anyone? Debating this over a SR-25 ERC

I would go with a 7.62 if that’s the question.
The EC is a quality precision 16" rig, and the ECC us second to none when it comes to weight savings along with precision and reliability.

Thanks for the input. It’s clear that the .308 is going to be a superior round. My thought process was if I go with the SR-15 LPR I would save a good amount of money over any of the SR-25. My reasoning for leaning towards the SR-15 would be the longest distance I would have to shoot locally is 300 yards. So would it be worth it to spend the $4500-$5500 for the SR-25 vs. $2300 for the SR-15 LPR. This will not be a work gun BTW.

If the terminal, barrier, and long(er) range application of 7.62 dies not apply to your use, then 5.56 is the better answer.
