i use spec ops military issued sling. there are too many slings out there and every company is trying to compiting each other to sell their stuff and depend on the buyer. Every sling sounded good but when you use it half of it suck and some of it pretty good. So just buy it and try it yourself. If you dont like it sell it back to someone else :D.
i also have this same setup. i love it. its a very versatile design. no problems here.
I have both, I love them both
Here is a picture of the DD forward sling mount I mentioned earlier. Don’t bust my balls about the DPMS lower, it’s my 5.45 gun. FWIW: I also have a and colored MS2 I got at a Magpul class and I like the fabric on it much better.

i like that DD mount. any one have a different solution.
While true, how many of the buyers do you think fit that niche?
I think you make an excellent point. The MS2 is designed with a certain end-use in mind and may not be applicable for the majority of users. As a strap by which to hang the gun it is a horrible option in my experience.
I bought the one I had thinking it would fit my needs, knowing it wasn’t designed for my needs. I spend more time at the range outside of training classes, needing to have my gun with me but not shooting and also have my hands free. My hope was that the one-to-two-point functionality of the MS2 would address this. Two-point for the majority of the time and then one-point when I was actually using the gun. The theory is sound, but I found the material, hardware, width of material, and adjustment all lacking in the end product. The webbing is too soft and too narrow to be comfortable for long when slung. The alligator clip at one end is difficult to use quickly. The snap-shackle at the other end doesn’t do anything for me. I never could get the adjustment slider to move easily enough to be functional.
But I’m thankful that they came out with the sling as it made me revisit the concept of the one-to-two-point sling (amazing how many people seem to think Magpul invented the idea) and come up with my own solution that I am extremely happy with.
I totally agree. See my lengthy post and pics here: https://www.m4carbine.net/showpost.php?p=542216&postcount=119
