i like the idea of moving from left to right shoulder without adjusting sling, your situation dictates which shoulder you will be using. since we really dont have any choice in the matter i have been looking for something like this.
As slim as the odds are of most of us ever being involved in a shooting are… having to shoot support side is exponentially even more unlikely.
That said, I’ve been doing a lot of support side shooting lately due to the AAR from the LAV M4C class. I’m not trying to make an excuse for not getting out of my comfort zone. I’m really enjoying support side shooting actually. I just think the odds are LONG against really needing it.
I’ve been using one of their slings now for 2 or 3 years. I posted a pic of it awhile back on a sling thread or something.
I like it, it seems to ride alittle high on my neck after I drop the rifle though. I have no experience with any other single points, maybe they all ride like that. I really like their newer quick clasp that is centered under the buffer tube as opposed to the one I have which swivels 180 degrees. If your stock is completely colapsed the swivel wont swivel to the other side.
way i figure it, if i ever get in a gun fight with my rifle (which would take me some time to get ready as its locked away) then i am having some bad luck, so i figure along with that i’ll have more bad luck ie having to fight weak handed. basically i just like the way this can go to either side with no changes. every other system or setup requires some sort of change before you can transition.
Their stuff was VLTOR designed and is quality. I use the X180 on all my guns, it is very functional and keeps the sling flat and twist free not matter how it’s shouldered or slung.
The X 360 is functionally the same as the TD M4 mount, which is another proven winner.
