Anyone run Raven Quad with double stack mags?

I have the Raven Quad mag holder for 1911 and really like it.
Switching to glock, and I ordered the 2 mag holder from Raven Concealment and figured I would have the same/more mag capacity as what I had with 4, ten round 1911 mags.

Has anyone used the Raven Quad style mag holder for double stack mags? It would be used on a dedicated belt system not for concealment? Didn’t know if they get too bulky. Or felt too wide.
Thanks for any input

Have you carried the Quad Mag holder for CC? I ordered their dual. I haven’t bought a Quad yet.

I have not, I ran it thru a few Tigerswan classes on a Jones Tactical belt.
Found out there are some shooting matches locally that require 4 ten round mags to be carried and that got me thinking. If I am taking the glock then need to change my order. Just seems like it could get thick, but I guess if I have a pistol and ar mags that are thicker…

I live at the beach (wear scrubs to work) and don’t even try to CC a 1911.

We found the problem!

On a serious note I’ve only once seen someone with the quad set up before, but I myself have the double and would not think that having the quad would be too bulky. There may be a slight chance if one were taking a class and having to go prone real quick, but in competition shooting I’d say you should be fine. My only question to the person who was running the quad was the angle the mag was situated in. I know some who shoot in comp prefer for certain angles and distances apart from one another etc. I’m sure if that’s the case then Jay could hook you up with some goodness.

I am clueless on this one, no love for Jones??
What’s the story on that one?

I have a Raven Quad for my G17 and it is pretty big, although not at much as you would think. Overall thickness comes out to right around the width of 2 mags, but it takes of a lot of belt real estate. I couldn’t wear it for plainclothes work due to the the size and my arm hitting it all the time. It does have a specialized use and I keep it around if TSHTF!

Dennis.

Yeah, what is the story?
