Anyone like Armalite magazines?

I just bought a couple of these 10 rounders (Ca. resident) and they look and feel very well made. Haven’t tried them yet. They are exactly like the 20 round mags. except they have an indent to stop the follower at ten rnds. (you can see it at the horizontal line) My only reservation is that the follower is not the non-tilt type.

Curious as to what anyone’s experience is with Armalite magazines. Trying to make a decision on what brand to stock up on.

Thanks

They work as well as any other brand of aluminum magazine. The ones I got with my AR-10 worked great, I doubt that a 5.56 mag would be any differant.

These particular ones are steel. Checked them with a magnet. The only thing I’m sceptical about is the follower. It is not a non-tilt type.

Easy to fix, Magpul follower would do well.

.

Since it is ArmaLite, I would think it would not be anything exceptional. Since you said it is made of steel just reinforces my thinking.

If I had to had 10-round mags, I would get these NHMTG 10-rounder Mags. Look like they’re cheaper too.

BTW - Don’t use MagPul Followers in straight mag bodies, only curved ones…according to an e-mail response I got from MagPul a while back asking if it was OK.

But maybe it’s just me…

.

Ive got a few of the Armalite 10 round steel mags that came with some M15’s during the AWB.
Only complaint I have about them is that they are heavy, but are tough as nails…function and quality Ive seen no issues.
For about the same money,I’d rather have a aluminum body magazine though.

Here is another option as well:
