Anyone install a QD socket in a McMillan?

I’d like a QD socket on the left side of the forend of my FN. This seems like it would be simple to do - anyone here done it? Got recommendations for the procedure?

I think there was a thread here from a member who did do his own.
Hooper Ordnance also does this for a reasonabe rate .
