Anyone here installed a KAC URX FF Rail?

Marvin is currently not accepting work at this time, unknown when he will be back up and running

OT, but is that a AAC suppressor adapter/FH? I’m sure it is, but it must be a discontinued model as it’s definitely not the 18 tooth phantom of the 18 tooth black out.

That is the AAC/KAC flash hider, it allows mounting of both the M4QD and M42000

Not so much for work, but for parts. Been trying to find an E3 trigger guard and some other items.

Yes, it’s the AAC SOPMOD flash hider. As D mentioned, it was designed for use with the KAC NT4 and the older M4-2K’s (and current M4-1K’s). I believe Polite Society still stocks them…

It has been a while since I’ve talked to him, but you should be able to get a hold of him at nefariousarms AT live DOT com.

Thanks. Just sent an email using your addy. Guess we’ll see.

I beleive he left KAC and thus that source is finished.

yes he left KAC. but he is still going to do custom jobs and sell KAC parts.

yep the polite society has them. its a crazy FH taking to different companies products is pretty cool

Oh what to do, what to do…I am planning on getting an M4-1K as a Christmas present to myself. Right now I’m waiting on my SBR’s form 1 to be approved before making the move on the M4-1k just to make sure there is no problem with the trust I set up. I was already planning on getting myself a 18 tooth black out and now I see this. I will have multiple hosts for the M4-1k but dayum $99 for the black out and $125 for the SOPMOD:confused: Do I get one, or the other, or both? If only money were no object.

I’m done…back on topic.

if your ever going to get a KAC or possibly use a KAC get the SOPMOD if not your probably have no issues with the black out.

But I have it on good authority that some parts (Sight/Gas Block combo) will no longer be available to him…

this maybe true but i just saw a thread the other day were someone was asking who could install the KAC FS/GB and lawmens referred that person to marvin but said he was in the process of moving.

Since there was a little back and forth about Marvin’s status…

The good news is that he is working for another firearms company and will still perform custom work (though he’s going to take a break from pinning flash hiders). If you want something done, get in the queue.

The bad news is that as Kev mentioned above, for the foreseeable future certain KAC items will not be available to him. Regardless, the parts are out there and in my opinion he is still the most qualified person in the world to install them.

And by the way, he still has a small inventory of KAC items (and a bad-ass one of a kind E3) so if anyone is looking for a certain hard to find item, I suggest you contact him sooner rather than later.

thanks for clearing that up. do you know if when marvin is going to be doing side jobs again? i emailed him a few weeks ago but havent heard from him in a while. i hate to call.

You could e-mail him again, but I would just give him a call and tell him what you need - he loves to talk about guns and is a walking encyclopedia on firearms.

yea Marvin’s a good guy i enjoy talking to him about some of the things he has created i just didn’t want to irritate since he just relocated with custom work. oh well ill give him a call next week or so to see how he’s liking that new job.

I see that my name is being thrown around a lot here I appreciate the things you guys are saying about me I wanted to let you know that I have moved to NW Arkansas and I have joined the team at Wilson combat and things are looking good they have a lot of new products that I will be helping to get to market and when they are released you are going to flip out some very neat stuff!

I will be able to take on some work in about 3 weeks I have about 5 gas blocks and that will be the last from me as KAC will not sell any more

Marvin

good to hear. if any of you guys have been on the fence about the KAC FS/GB i recommend it very nice product. Marvin ill be contacting you soon.

Well after all these year has KAC made a URXII that will fit a AR-10 receiver???

They are making a URXIII for government guns but I do not believe they are available commercially yet.
