They told me December-ish less than a few weeks ago.
I wouldn’t put too many eggs in that basket.

FWIW Premier has redesigned their 1-8x. It is almost an inch shorter, lower profile, and lighter: http://opticstalk.com/new-18x24-premier-heritage_topic30115.html
Excellent. I’m still holding out for the S&B though, but Feb aint that far off.
Damn. Last I heard from Mark (August) was a Nov/Dec 2011 release. If what you heard is the new sliding target, then I’m happy I made the decision to go with the Swarovski Z6i 1-6.
I’m thinking the imminent release will be S&Bs big news at SHOT.
It is interesting that Premier is positioning itself between S&B and Leupold with a retail price of $3200.
Although I’ve not laid hands on the Premier, I suspect that I’ll prefer it’s turrets over the S&B. This alone would not be enough to spend the extra $700. It will be interesting to see how the Premier reticle lines hold up at low magnification. The S&B’s are rather faint under 3X which is not a big deal for me since I’ll be using the flash dot at those magnifications.
I suspect the Leupold will come down in price when the others hit the market.
And hopefully up in features.
What features would you like to see?
Daylight reticle aimpoint at 1x,with out a horus. They can do it, but the last I’ve seen it is not commerically available, though a couple are in civy hands for eval.
