A local firearms dealer Code Red is offering lowers with their company logo forged by said company next month. Sounds interesting but couldn’t find anything online about Seattle Defense Corp.
Never heard of them.
I figured, for $90 I dont know if I would take the plunge.
Aero Precision lowers are made in the Seattle area. It’s my understanding that Aero Precision is the brain child of out of work Boeing engineers. I find it hard to believe that some retired Boeing guys haven’t set up shop and are turning out lowers in an under utilized C&C machine. If you can find a way to weigh one and compare it to another stripped lower. See if there is a difference. For $90 and no transfer fee, I’d take the chance. Lowers are hard to get right now. kwg
Well according to the firearms dealer this will be their 1st offering of lowers, and the batch will be in early Oct so they are taking pre-orders. I think they may have some other lowers available, gonna check tomorrow.

If you get one, post a review, but it’s unusual that a Google search for “Seattle Defense Corp” has only 1 result – this thread. That’s really under the radar, I’d wait.
I’m not surprised that more outfits around the Seattle area will follow in the footsteps of Mega Arms with all of the aerospace machinist experience around here, so if anyone does have one of these I’d like to hear more. FWIW, my recently purchased Mega stripped lower is top notch.
I am getting a PSA lower from them. In the future I may check it out if they continue to offer their own brand of lower
There are sources that say that online that are only forum based from what I see.

Not sure that says they’re of Boeing… in that it doesn’t say they are a brainchild in any way- I think.
There is a site selling the lowers that says, “Aero Precision is one of Boeing’s leading OEMs. Meaning Boeing contracts out to them to make some of their aircraft parts, a job requiring intense precision and quality control processes.”

I wouldn’t doubt some engineers from Boeing decided to go make business, or that Boeing owns it- except for that they would likely put their name somewhere to advertise for it.
