On a lighter note. Tac hat maybe the wrong description but hats that have something to do with our style of shooting. My small collection:

I have a few, but rarely wear them. I’m just not a hat guy. I have a BCM hat I wear to and from my parking lot at work if it is cold or rainy (about a mile walk if I don’t ride the bus). A couple people have asked me about the Latin on back, some give the hat a curious look, but I do get a couple knowing nods.

My best hat story: when I worked in the ER I had a patient whose son wore a Noveske hat. I mentioned how much I like Novekse, what quality rifles, blah blah blah. Turns out he is SF and up from Bragg (a couple hours away), invites me down to Bragg area to go shooting. I have not had an opportunity to take him up but we stay in touch.

Swear this is a true story. I had my hat with the Noveske Iron X on it and a guy asked me why I was wearing a German Iron Cross. :confused:

Love the Benelli hat.

I’ve got a few hats as well - I like BCE’s a lot (just seems to freakin’ FIT.)

That Benelli hat has been through the ringer and one of the few that’s fits my huge melon.

Likewise, though I will admit that I do appreciate it when I see a Noveske hat (or other quality brand) out in public. Makes it a bit easier to recognize the good guys, if nothing else.

I just feel a little funny when they ask about bravo co like I was in service. When you tell them what it stands for, they look at you as if your making it up. Ah, I must be a superninjablackops cant tell you or I’d have to kill you guy.:smiley:

Off the top of my head (no pun intended) I can only think of one that you’re missing that I’m surprised you don’t have yet…The BAC :slight_smile:

I have quite a few of them.

I never wear them out in public though.:frowning:

I always figure it makes me a “shoot me first” target or unwanted LEO attention.

Same way with all the gun shirts that gun stores give me when I help out at shows and MG shoots.

I am paranoid, but that doesn’t mean everyone isn’t out to get me.:smiley:

I’ve got a American flag and a bravo hat, but its above 75 8 months of the year plus humidity here so I stick with surfer/trucker style hats for the mesh brah:D

Edit, also in light of recent events, I wear my magpul hat around where ever and to the gym.
