Anyone chronoed Varmint loads from a 16"

Im paticularlly interested in the factory Hornady 40gr Vmax. Just wondering how much speed is lost in the short barrel.

The Winchester white box 45 jhp’s run:

3379 fps ave. in a 20 inch Colt 1/7 HBAR
3353 fps ave. in a 20 inch Rem 700 1/12 twist.

From my 16 inch Ruger Mini-14 1/10 twist they chronied a respectable 3220 fps. HTH.

Any problems with the 45gr jhp staying intake thru the 1/7 HBAR?
Have heard that lite bullets don’t perform well in fast twist barrels.
