I currently have a stainless afghan barrel, and it’s a tad on the heavy side. Too much weight is pulled to the front of the rifle which bugs me. I was initially considering putting together a config using the BCM or DD LW barrel until I saw Noveske’s NST rifle. At $1000 for the complete upper, it doesn’t sound like too bad of a deal, especially if Noveske throws in a free blemished lower! I’m just wondering how much lighter the stainless lightweight barrel in the NST is compared to my Afghan. Although they may ultimately weigh the same since the afghan is 14.5 vs 16" I have a feeling the balance on the 16" may feel alot better.
