Any suggestions on skinny hand guards?

I currently have a 12" t-series free float hand guard from midwest industries on my ar 15. The hand guard it self is a bit fat in diameter and doesnt fit my hand well. Im in the military and our hand guards are pretty skinny.

Any suggestions on smaller diameter hand guards? I was looking towards a mrf-r 12" from troy which is slighty smaller.

Troy VTAC Extreme

Sorry I did not specify, I want it to be picatinny, not the smooth viking tactics or troy extreme

LaRue Tactical rails seem to have a vary slim profile for a quad rail.

I am really liking the Apex Machine handguards for my upcoming .308 build.

DD Omega’s are only 1.90 wide.

The GG&G rail without any pieces added to the back half and picatinny on the front half for any added gear. I have this configuration on 2 of my rifles and it works quite well for me. I did try to add the panels that they supply with it and it then became to large for my hand.

I think Larue is pretty slim compare to others.

SWS on my Noveske seems to be pretty slim too.

LaRue makes a really nice one, and I will never again buy a rail without built-in QD sockets…
I don’t like the height of the DD Omega with a thumb-over top rail grip.
Beware, there may be interference between a rail-mounted front sight and an offest light mount, which may or may not be an issue for the individual user.

Have the 13" larue on my SPR very nice rail easy to instal and very slim. I have the Troy extream, LMT mrp, and a knights ras to compair it to. Larue makes a very nice rail

LMT MRP Chassis -> LaRue (has that big nut though) -> URX II -> DD RIS II

Those are really the only smaller sized picatinny rails.

I just measured SWS rail.

2 inch side by side, 2-2/16 inch bottom to top.

The Apex are, *Outside diameter: 1.875"

How big around are the DD RIS series?
It looks like the bottom rail is closer to the barrel compared to the Omegas and the Lites.

Shorter but wider.

Do you have the specs for the MFR?

LaRue and KAC are the right height and width. I too hate my fat MI rail, and am not too fond of the I-Beam feel off my DD Lite Rail.

I just run KACs on everything else.

If you can get past them not having anti-rotational tabs, the Wilson Combat Trim rails have a small circumference. You also have the Daniel Defense MFR 12.0 rail.
