Any reviews/reports on Noveske 10" 300 blk?

Just as the title states looking for any reviews/reports on the Noveske 10" 300 blk. I like the AAC offering, I just don’t like the 7" rail. I prefer a longer rail and for my personal prefered way of shooting 9" is the shortest I like to go. The only way to get the 9" rail is to go with a Noveske 10" barrel. I have searched the recent threads but not much out there.

My experience is with the shorty AAC, and the 16" Noveske. While shooting with the Noveske yesterday we were getting great groups with the new Remington Match ammo (RM300AAC6). A sniper was shooting with us, and asked that I not publish the results in Army Times yet as it was low light and he felt he could pull tighter groups. While I don’t think most people are going to buy this for shooting groups, I figured I would mention it.

AAC has 12.5 inch barrel uppers with 10.5 inch KAC rails.

Thanks for pointing that out. My goal was to go as short as possible but maitain the longest rail possible. I have a 12.5" 5.56 upper and this is still a possible option, but I have the 7.62 SD and I am trying to keep the OAL down as much as possible.

We are getting great groups with our Noveske 300 BLK barrels and the Atlanta Arms and Ammo 3 Gun load. Will post some photos once I get them off the camera phone.

Do you have any particulars on the AA load? I don’t see it listed on their website.

I have a 300 blackout noveski and have been getting moa consistently with 147gr ammo. I have not honestly tried to push the envelope of accuracy on the 220gr stuff yet. But I would imagine that it’s in the same ballpark. but to the honest I expect a lot out of my noveski barrels as I have been a competition shooter ncaa and national champion. If a gun is inaccurate it doesn’t get the privilege to stay in my safe.

175gr SMK, 1900 FPS, Major PF, loaded to max mag length so it requires modified mags.

I believe that Noveske sized their barrels, at least to some degree, based on readily available rail systems, which I think is pretty smart. It appears that they took the required amount of exposed barrel to mount most of the cans (1") and added that to the readily available handguards. Hence, 8" barrels (7.0+1) and 10" barrels (9.0+1").

I believe that AAC may have 9" 300 BLK uppers coming with a different KAC rail that narrows the gap, which would be smart IMO. On the 9" AAC upper I have I’d rather have a little bit more handguard to go with my little bit more barrel.

I believe you are correct. I however asked that Noveske build me one with a 10.5" barrel… just a little barrel sticking off of a full length rail for added sex appeal.

Here is a pic w/ the can on my Noveske 300 AAC Blackout. Laying next to it is my Noveske 5.56 CQB for reference. Both of these systems have 10.5" barrels.

I bought my 9mm SBR in 10.5" to try to approximate my 5.56 gun OAL, without thinking about the fact that the cans and possible rail combinations might negate that (not to mention the heavier 9mm barrel). Now I’m changing the 9mm barrel to a 7", and trying not to make the same mistake (for me) with a potential 300 BLK upper.

Javelin, do you have any chrono results for those barrels?

Well I’m still no closer to a decision. If I compromise and go with a 7" rail (I have that’s not being used) the 8" is looking like a nice option.

I’m also looking for any input on the shortest length barrel people would feel comfortable hunting with out 200 yards with (hogs).

The 7" rail 8" barrel would make a very nice PDW IMHO and would be very handy. I just want to get double duty out of it and be able to use it hunting.

I have the 10" with a Troy TRX Xtreme Battle rail and an AAC brake out flash hider/brake. I did some research on this because I wanted to make sure my AAC 762 SDN-6 can would fit.

I know there are 200 million threads on this but let me ask anyway. Can I get a down and dirty Pros/Cons of the 300Blk out round. I have not studied it, but I do have a 7.62SD6 can coming. I know the experience is mounting.

Don’t even think about it.

LMAO, Your just on my ass aren’t you. Between LR 12.5 SBR’s and trying to get a word in edge wise on the blackout. Its a no-go.

The Markm “roll your own custom” factory is at CAPACITY:p

Troy makes a 7.6 " (might be 7.4") TRX rail that would work well on an 8" bbl. Depends on if you plan on running a can and how much overlap you are looking for. If you are not there are some breaks that will allow you to run a rail longer than the bbl, such as the 10" troy upper with 11" rail.

I have a 10" Noveske .300 BLK and here is what I have experienced.

I can get it to work flawlessly with 220 gr remington subsonic factory loads with no silencer. It functions fine and always locks back on the last round. I am using a standard Colt CAR spring and Colt 3.0 oz standard carbine buffer.

I think I can go up to an H buffer and still get it to work.

When I get my AAC N6, I will experiment with it more.

I do not like the AAC rail and barrel length offerings on their uppers. I prefer to have the rail to the end. I am using a 9" centurion with my 10" Noveske barrel.
