As the title states,
How do you like your TRP?
Have about 2000 rounds through mine so far, and completely love this thing!
Will post up some pics tomorrow.
1911’s FTW

I’ve got about 4000 rounds on my TRP Operator and love it. I keep it on the down low though around here. This board is not FLGR friendly.
You need to take “a class”, or 4, before you announce anything GTG.
EDIT: Meant to say GTG…GOOD TO GO.
Sorry.
I honestly don’t know what you mean
Is that a joke about full length guide rods?
Wow, I don’t get this either. What do you mean? idk what “gto” stands for lol.
Man, I have to get used to the lingo around this board!
Here’s the honest truth, I love my TRP Full Rail Operator. It’s the nicest shooting .45 I’ve ever had the pleasure of firing. The felt recoil is so smooth. IMO, it’s an awesome looking gun.
On the down side, it’s freakin’ heavy. I don’t carry it…ever. It sits in a pistol safe by my bedside…almost always. At night, it hangs out with my Glock 19 that I carry every day. In the event that something went bump in the night, I’d probably grab it though, since there’s already a pistol light attached. If I were on a police force somewhere that would allow me to carry a 1911 on a duty belt, I would consider a TRP.
I don’t much see the need for adjustable sights on a pistol that I’m not going to use in competition…nor a bull barrel. I switched out the rear sights to Harrison’s (thank you for filling a void, sir).

I have only about 800 rounds through this TRP and I absolutely love it. It’s smooth to shoot and has an amazing balance to it. I haven’t taken any classes yet, although I do plan on hitting a Vickers 1911 class as soon as I have the funds and the spare time. Nursing school tends to drain both of those! I would definitely have another TRP and only a couple of things that I would like to do to this one as soon as I get the time.

Where are you in Nursing school man? I’m finishing up my BSN right now lol! (second degree)
Risk for depression r/t insufficient ammunition funds and time for shooting secondary to Nursing school.
How’s that for a dx ?
Dont sweat it man, some lean times now for a comfortable living later is definately worth it. The girlfriend is pulling down a decent 70k plus with ot with her BSN, Beats the hell out of my 45k police sallary.
Ya no worries, thanks for the uplift. It can get intense at times.
I appreciate anyone who can put themselves on the line like a police officer! I’m way to much a big sissy for that stuff!
I’m in a community college in NC at the moment. I’m first year working on a a simple associates, so congratulations on your BSN sir. This definitely is a new way of thinking as the tests always have all answer choices that are all correct, you just have to choose the most corect one. Definite learing curve! I’d say that is a good diagnosis… I hate they don’t have that Dx in the NANDA handbook when I go to write my care plans!
lmao, ya I hear you there.
Pt. comes in c/o chest pain. What do you do?
A)administer Nitro
B)administer Nitro
C)administer Nitro
D)administer Nitro
A: incorrect. C is the correct answer in this scenario.
That is how I feel sometimes LOL.
It’s great though I really enjoy Nursing, especially coming from working in a machine shop it’s refreshing. I’m excited to start working in the spring. Wish you the best man!
Don’t worry the learning curve comes!
Thank you for the encouragement. I have just a few weeks left in the first semester and I THINK I am getting the hang of it now. I worked on cars for about 6 years before this, so it’s a little different environment. Good luck to you as well! Work will come soon enough that’s for sure. Now it’s time to get ready for clinicals.

Last visit before clinicals for the day… Nice pistol you have there sir! By the way, did you take my towel?!
BAHAHA that is funny
I still don’t get it.
