I’m not sure how the Youtube site-tracking process works, but it may be that someone watches an imbedded Youtube video on Huffpo, and then clicks on related videos and winds up at yours eventually.
I would say that there’s a good probability that your video is somehow being seen after watching the Youtube video imbedded at the bottom of this story, which went up on the 25th. Just a guess, but I think it’s a good one. And it’s somewhat testable, because if you’re getting Huffpo hits from before the 25th, then this hypothesis is falsified.
That makes a lot of sense. I have tested it as you suggest and the hypothesis is accepted. It explains the observed phenomena as well as explaining other, unrelated phenomena (similar incidents w/ other videos.)
It would seem we have a working theory on the way that the youtube reporting process works.
