I posted this in the Midwest Industries section asking them to make it since it’s based on one of their mounts.
I’ve been using the MI offset sling mount for some time now, but I’d love to be able to use it as a light mount also, and mount it to one of the front sight tower light mounts so that I have the sling swivel and the light mounting to the same side of the front sight tower.
This is Photoshop so you can get an idea what I’m talking about. This mount would attach to the rail on something like the MX or MI series tactical light mount for the front sight tower. It should allow clearance for any ring or light mount like the VLTOR scout mount and still allow you to mount the sling to it as shown.
(My Photoshop is a rough mockup. The length of the mount would obviously have to be enough to allow clearance for a flashlight in its mount, so my dimensions might not be 100% proportional).

The idea came about because I like to carry the weapon at port arms with the sling swivel at the front sight tower, but I also like the flashlight to be at my left hand thumb.

I would consider giving it a try. I’ve looked for a way to run a light and a 2 point sling without attaching the sling to standard handguards.
I think S&S Precision makes one very similar to that for Surefires. Maybe check there first to see if you’re not infringing on their design.
I need that part for my AK, when will that avalible?
This does not include the sling mount but is very similar in other respects to the OP’s mount idea.

I kind of browsed their website just now and I didn’t see one that was really close to this one.
My proposal is based on a Midwest Industries design, and that’s why I posted a thread in their section first asking if they might be willing to manufacture such a mount.
That’s interesting but I don’t know if it would be commercially viable. However a prototype can be easily made by getting a short peice of rail, the sling mount shown in the pic and 15 seconds of a tig welders time.
Interesting, I will show this to Troy and see what he has to say.

Thanks for the reply. Having had some experience in manufacturing I tried to make this as close to an existing design as possible to keep manufacturing costs down.
