Any info on Surefire Socom 300?

Hey guys, anyone have any info on the new Socom 300 Surfire announced at shot? I’m really looking forward to seeing how this stackes up against the Saker 762.

We have 2 versions. The SOCOM300-SPS is a fast attach system and is Inconel and SS. On a 10" barrel we are getting 120dB with 208 gr Hornady ammo. MSRP $1075. We also have thread on version called the Genesis 762. Same very unique baffles as the SOCOM300-SPS and construction. Both are rated for 5.56 to 300 WM and we did testing on a 24" .308 with 175 SMK and recorded 129 dB. I will be getting 300 WM and 5.56 data soon.

That sounds amazing! Any idea about a release date? Also do you know the length of the fast attach version? Thanks

We released them at SHOT and are taking orders now. The baffles will be machined in a few weeks so I would guess with ATF transfers dealers should be seeing them end of March.

Are these special baffles better designed for 300BLK, with the 762s baffles better for supersonic .308 loads? Going to add to my SOCOM collection soon and trying to decide between the two!

The SOCOM series of suppressors addressed suppressors as a whole. First round flash, back pressure, cycle rate, durability, sound, light weight. The SOCOM300-SPS and Genesis 762 were designed from the ground up for sound reduction. Outside of subs on a gas gun there will be a difference what the rest of the line has a whole package. The military typically sets the specs and list of features for us but these suppressors we listened to those that wanted the highest level of sound reduction as the first thing on the wish list.

Ahh, that makes perfect sense. Thank you!

Knowing that, I think I’ll be going with a SOCOM762. That helped a lot!

What I would really like to see is a muzzle brake mount that’s a little better suited to SBRs.

It what aspects?

Something more along the lines of a battle comp or triple tap. Something less deafening and with less concussion when shooting unsuppressed.

Was this with factory ammo?

^^^^^Yes it was. Federal Gold Medal Match. I cant wait to run a Genesis on my 6.5 CM.
If you guys are wanting something for a SBR you have to do your self a favor and take a look at the WARCOMP. I have a proto type on my 10.5" 5.56 and love it. It is a flash hider that gives you about 10% recoil reduction but it tracks the target like our brake.

Here is the data you guys were wanting.

SOCOM300-SPS
20.3 oz
8.0"
1.5" dia
MSRP $1075

5.56 16" Mk262 134dB
300 10" 208gr 120dB
.308 24" 175gr SMK 129dB
300 WM 16" Mk248 137dB…Yep a 16" 300WM

Is that ^ 129db on a .308 correct?! The Saker is rated at 139db. That is killer!

Yes it is. 24" M40A5 with 175gr SMK

What does the Socom 762 beat it on then? I may have to change my order lol!

Does the war comp have a single baffle after the ports drilled into the 12 o’clock area? Or is it essentially the flash hider with ports drilled? When and where can I buy one? I have about 5 SBRs with the brake installed. Would love to get my hands on one of these.

This is great! I thought the Omega was going to be my best choice for a 7.62 can on 300, and 300WM. This surefire can just came back to the top of my list.

The SOCOM762-RC is all Inconel, less back pressure, full auto rated and a lighter.

The Warcomp is the SF3P that was redesigned with special tapered holes. It is a patent pending design that allows the flash hider to track like a brake but does not produce flash by doing so. I have a proto type on my 10.5" and love it. I would not give it up for anything. Should have these out sometime in March.

Perfect. Look forward to it. Thanks for the info.
