Looked at Millet and I dont know if I like them, pretty long and havent heard good things about the brightness of the reticle. I want to spend a little tax return money, but not to much, I to am still waiting to go back to work after my lay off.
Any ideas???
LT-104, Leupold 1-4x20, <$400.00. I use this for sport/rec, not duty, and it’s doing well.

Thanks Skintop, I really wish the Counter Sniper scopes werent to good to be true. I really dug the 1-4x they had, features galore, and I was about to order one until I read the bad news.
More guys, MORE!!!
There was a good, multi-page thread on 1-4 variables awhile ago. I thought I saw it bumped recently.
EDIT: Found it, here: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=104
I do like the Millet DMS1, its just to long for me, with others being 10 1/2" or shorter. Though the price of those is high to absolutely outrageous.
Speaking of that, wheres the thread that showed a 1-4x optic with the horseshoe reticle. He had pictures of the reticle inside his home and out side in the street. It was something like 10yds, 50yds, 100yds, 300yds etc… etc… He used his son in the pictures as the target. I think it was linked from TOS.
Anybody know what Im talking about???
I just saw this posted elsewhere:

There is the info on the two I could find. They are priced on swfa right now from $279 to $349, but not yet in stock.
At those prices I doubt Leupold is making those scopes in the USA. They may test them here, but I’m sure at the core is that Chinese “Green Ring” line.
The GRSC scope. Link
Thats it, Thanks!
I talked to Ed awhile back, but havent heard anything new. I would love to have one of these scopes… I think the pics on this site are from when Millet was manufacturing them for him, dont quote me on that though.
I would look at the weaver classic extreme natchezss has on closeout. That combined with a larue mount would be roughly $500. There is a big thread on TOS about these weavers and people seemed to like them. I think they come out of japan if that matters.

True, I would like to know that what little money Im spending is going to our economy, not chinas etc…
To buy an american made scope is either hard to find or extremely expensive. I may just give up on the idea of a good quality U.S. made 1-4x optic that is affordable. Im not sure it exists, that is a truely sad statement…
Thanks guys,
There is one other avenue you could look into for a cheaper american made scope. I see the live.com ebay cashback program is back at 11% off right now. You could buy a leupold vxIII 1.5-5 illuminated scope for about 464 after cashback from swfa. I know that price doesn’t include a mount and takes a bit of work to do it, but if you want a good american scope(vxIII’s are american right?), it certainly is an option. I see swfa also has some of the no illuminated low power variable vxIIIs on their ebay store as well if you need a cheaper option.
I mounted on on a friends AR and they are good for the money however there is a slight chance in hell of seeing that dot in sunlight,
Link to this program? Thanks
If you go to live.com and type in something like leupold vxIII, there should be a little ebay cash back link at the top of the results. You go through the link to ebay where you can find places with the cashback deal and if you choose buy it now option you can get the 11% or whatever it is at time payed back into your paypal account. I think you have to sign up for windows live or something as well. I’ve never used it personall so I might have this wrong. If you check the optics section back into december i know people were talking about it then and it might explain it better.
This thread discusses the cashback program and links to another thread at TOS talking about it. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=18148
does anybody know anything about Sightmark optics? I dont think their 1.5-5x optic is illuminated but for $120., I think it might be a good buy until more options would be available, Link. Probably not U.S. made either, but at this point what choice does a guy have…
Heres another link to their website.
Thanks for the ebay heads up fellas.
