I am working on my 6.8 build and researching 12" rails. I was originally planning on a ris II, but at 400.00 its pricey. Does anytime have and experienced with the mi gen 2 t series? At half the cost how well does it compare?
Way different than the ris 2. Very skinny profile. I’ve handled them and like how they feel. I feel like I want to challenge there mounting system but from what I’ve read they hold up. This is the rail I would be using if bcm didn’t come out with the kmr. Since your building a 6.8 and it will probably barely get used I’d keep my investment low if it were me.
I haven’t used the T series specifically, but have used the Gen 2 two piece drop in, SS two piece and the Gen 2 FF one piece. All are solid pieces of kit and I wouldn’t imagine the T series to be any different than any other MI product. Indexing them can be a bit of a pain, but they are good kit.
Any reason you are going for a quad rail? Curious, not argumentative.
Because that is what i am comfortable with. It will be hunting rig both day and night as well as home defense and possible course rifle. I dont currently have funds for both 556 and 6.8 and hunting is a priority.
That rail is good to go.
