Availability at the time when I had the cash in hand and the time to build it.
I would have prefered to go an inch shorter, but I am just as happy being able at this time to get what I order, when I order it.

You will be just as happy with the 12 as you would an 11.5. Onlyt advantage i can see to the 11.5 is that are more 11 inch handguards out there than 11.5. But you have a solid build going there O.P. I think i would go with the KAK pistol extension designed to mount the SIGTAC brace on though.
Ditch the RRA parts kit and trigger. Get a BCM Gunfighter charging handle. Lose the Phase 5 thing and use a simple carbine tube. Use an H2 or 3 buffer.
You can use whatever parts you want. I simply provided my dos centavos. If it were me, I would get an ALG QMS trigger, a Battle Arms Selector and their pin set. Then I would get the little small items (springs, etc…) from Brownells. As for the pistol tube, I don’t think anyone has shown conclusively shown that having a standard carbine *lower receiver extension is going to get you thrown into the Buttrape Hotel.

If he already has the phase5 may as well keep it. I run a pistol tube just to stop stupid questions from being asked lol. The whole dude that’s illegal, or dude thats intent, or how is that a pistol since you could put a stock on it ordeal just was worth skipping for me. Not like I don’t have any normal RE’s around but imo 50ish bucks was cheaper than time spend with stupidity.
Speaking of the pins, have you had good luck with the BAD pins?
I ran about two hundred rounds through it yesterday.
Ran like a champ and was very accurate and fun to shoot.
Sounds like a nice build. How does the RR single stage trigger compare to a standard mil spec trigger? Been thinking of dropping a new trigger in mine, just for the heck of it.
It was fine, not sloppy, rather crisp and broke cleanly. Definatly nothing fancy, as near to the Mil Spec trigger I used in the .Mil days.

Let us know when you start having issues with said RRA trigger. Many of them start around the 1000 round mark.
