No matter who you talk to, no matter what group it is, even gun guys and “Second Amendment supporters”, NOBODY* is ever okay with other people choosing differently than themselves. I see it over and over on every gun forum. People who choose less (not to carry, carry a smaller gun, only carry some of the time, think they have no benefit to a defensive rifle etc) are unprepared sheep. People who choose more (spare magazine, multiple spare magazines, a BUG or two, concealable body armour, trunk rifle, etc) are paranoid and over-reacting.
People who conceal carry only often look at those who choose differently (open carry) and get all pissy while they rant on about how, according the them, the open carrier is on an “ego trip” or is a “tactical hazard” or is “making us all look bad”. Nevermind that they are a gun enthusiast carrying a firearm in a legal and SAFE manner using the method of their choice. They chose DIFFERENTLY and are therefore wrong. And need to be derided and insulted for doing so.
So he took it a step farther and walked around with a rifle. So? If the store has a problem with it they can ask him to leave. Maybe they’ll call LE and have them do it, if they choose. Either way what the hell business is it of yours?
So maybe you don’t think it’s a good idea. Okay. Fine. Don’t do it. Maybe tell other people why you don’t like it. But I don’t see why you need to result to personal insults.
Grow up.
*Except Libertarians. They seem to understand this whole “people can choose as they like, so long as they aren’t harming others” deal.
PS: A quick Google showed this:

"On Thursday, 22-year-old Joseph Kelley identified himself as the man in Yorgason’s pictures. Kelley described himself as a firm believer in Second Amendment rights and said he decided to bring the guns to the store to demonstrate that they are not dangerous in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
According to Kelley, the rifle was an unloaded AR-15 and the handgun was a loaded Glock 19C. He said he has a concealed-carry permit, is a former member of the military and contacted police dispatch before leaving his home to tell them about his plans. Kelley also said he was told that he was “well within his rights” and that bystanders’ reactions were positive."
