Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on Wednesday that he is launching an investigation into Anthony Fauci after the former public health official repeatedly declined to answer questions about the COVID-19 pandemic at a tense congressional hearing.
“Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable,” Uthmeier posted on X. “My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. It’s past time we get the truth of what happened during COVID.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) called for Fauci to be held in contempt because he “received a blanked presidential pardon so he has no basis to invoke the fifth over that conduct.”
Hours before leaving office in January 2025, former President Joe Biden issued a preemptive pardon to protect Fauci from what he called “unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions” under the second Trump administration. The federal pardon, however, doesn’t preempt Fauci from facing possible state charges.
I’m just guessing here but; The hatred of Fauci crosses Party Lines so if you’re bringing him to Court and squeezing his money dry, is going to make you more popular than a Promicuous Prom Queen.
This has become a Poltical Football of the (so far) Century and it will be played for the next four years. I hope every Red State joins in to go after him, they will Win.
I was thinking about this- DJT needs to play 6d chess and say “Fauci is the greatest scientist ever. He did a beautiful job with Covid, beautiful. Most perfect job ever”. That way it would guarantee jail time for Fauci as every RINO and demonrat would be calling for his head. But the only problem with that is that all the purists on the Right would get mad and not vote in the midterms. Again.
Sen. Rand Paul, who clashed publicly with Fauci during multiple hearings, has said there may be grounds to pursue charges related to false statements to Congress or the handling of federal records. Others have echoed that view, pointing to newly surfaced documents and testimony from federal officials as justification for further investigation.
At the same time, any potential legal action faces practical and legal hurdles. One is timing: a five-year statute of limitations could limit the window for bringing certain charges tied to Fauci’s 2021 testimony. Another complication is the reported preemptive pardon issued by former President Joe Biden during his final day in office, covering potential offenses over a multi-year period. Legal experts have noted that such broad pardons are unusual and could be tested in court, but their validity has not yet been challenged directly in this context.
As far as I’m concerned the little runt bastard’s day isn’t bad enough until he’s lined up on the wall and shot. Fuck him, he’s a complete piece of shit.
And as the Left hitches their Team to Fauci’s reputation (With his need to plead the 5th over 110 times) becomes evident; After Hunter Biden’s Ukraine and Lap Top scandle; isn’t this just a continuation of miscalculated steps if the hope to Win Elections?
“Yes we are Corrupt as Hell and love to steal your Money, but we aren’t Trump” isn’t much of a Campaign Slogan to ride to the Top with is it?
For the Democrats to win back Male voters, they are going to have top seriously clean House. The Geriatric’s and the Sociommunists and Trans Freaks all have to go, this big tent they brag about is full of freaks, crimminals and those with age related degeneration
No, but due to mass TDS it is working for them. That and the uneducated educated idiots that are in love with communism it is going to be a rough road for freedom loving Americans.
Alabama and Lousiana have signed on with Florida to go after Fauci.
I don’t think all of Fauci’s High Speed Attorneys from Yankee Land are going to have a good time in the South, all of that malarky might work in DC, but I’m guessing Florida will be a whole New Ball Game.
I believe Yankee Lawyers coming South used to be called Carpetbaggers they will I am sure have a very warm Welcome.
The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted Thursday to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress over his refusal to answer questions during testimony before the committee last week, arguing that he inappropriately invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
“Holding a witness in contempt is a serious thing, and it should be rare,” Sen. Rand Paul, the committee chairman, said as the panel gathered Thursday. “But the contempt power exists for precisely this circumstance.”
The GOP-led committee voted 8 to 5 Thursday on the resolution to hold Fauci in contempt, with all Democrats opposing, and two more opposing by proxy vote. While the next step would typically be a vote on the Senate floor, Paul told CBS News that he intends to send the contempt resolution directly to the Justice Department as a referral.
