Another winning handheld from China

I am becoming fond of these powerful handheld torches from Fenix, Olight, and Lumapower. Ounce for ounce, and dollar for dollar, they are easily as good, or better then their Surefire competition.

The latest I’ve run across is this Fenix TK-41, an AA driven(8) aircraft grade aluminum, handheld that delivers an awesome amount of lumens(800)for just$119.00. Too big to be a weapon mount, it is however perfectly suited as a search beam for the squad car, ATV, boat, or backwoods boonie patrol.

The TK-41 throws it’s beam over 450 meters in turbo mode, runtimes are as follows,
low= 10 lumens at 240 hours
mid = 108 lumens at 27 hours
high = 335 lumens at 7.15 hours
turbo= 800 lumens at 2.10 hours

The beam on my specimen is almost perfectly white, with just a hint of greening at the fringes on turbo mode. There is also just a touch of banding within the beam. Other then that, it’s performance(for myself)has been quite impressive. You can of course run it on 8 rechargeable(2500mah)batteries.

The 92FS and Olight are included to offer it scale.

I got a Thrunite Neutron 1a for EDC http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?311559-Thrunite-Neutron-Series-(XM-L)-1C-2C-1A-2A-Review-RUNTIMES-BEAMSHOTS-and-more!

500 lumens out of a 14650!

I’ve had it in the rain, and dropped it on rocks and it’s still going. IMO definitely a good buy.
