Another New Build

Seems like there’s a lot of us with new/first-time builds. I’m a first-time poster as well, but I have to thank the M4Carbine.net forums for helping me out.

I’ve always been a “gun-nut,” but I’ve just now gotten into the world of AR’s. This is my first-time build. Just came together this past week, and already I’ve ordered a few things to add and even change out on it (based on even more recommendations I’ve read here).

What I’ve put together:
-Roggio Arsenal stripped lower (picked up at a gun show a while back for a good deal…great quality)
-DPMS lower parts kit (picked up at the same show)
-Rock River Arms butt-stock (may change this out later)
-BCM mid-length 16" upper (these forums are responsible for this decision)
-LaRue Tactical 9" handguard (Live Free or Die)
-BCM BCG
-Midwest Industries rear flip-up sight

Things I’m adding soon (already ordered):
-Magpul MOE polymer trigger guard (I quickly discovered the “annoying gap”)
-Magpul XTM rail panels
-Gadsden ejection port cover from Harford Engraving

Things I may add later:
-Magpul MOE grip
-BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle (Mod4)
-Optics (of course)

Oh…and hopefully I’ll be able to take it out for a spin soon.

very nice first build… I like that ejection port cover you have on the way. I might have to order one of those myself.

Good start. Just add a few mags, some ammo, a class or two, and you’ll be hooked. :cool:

I’ve also got a LaRue Tactical sling on the way.

Definitely need more mags and ammo (can you have too much, really?).

Still not 100% decided on AimPoint or EOTech for the optics either. I can get a used EOTech from a friend for a good price, but I’m seeing more people that like the AimPoint better.

Speaking of classes, EAG Tactical has a class coming to Mid-Tennessee, but unfortunately it’s held on Wed-Fri. That would eat up too much of my vacation time. Anyone know of other (good) options?
