I am new to the ar scene and am receiving my Sun Devil lower tuesday. It has a rock river parts kit. I am looking at the Vltor MUR upper. I am also looking at this stock

And I am wanting to build in a .204. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
good luck… Vltor mur’s are really hard to find right now. Look at DD or Larue for uppers if you cant find a mur.

in other words, you won’t even find them for gouged prices. the MURs might as well be extinct. the stealth is a good alternative for a stiffy, if you want a billet- personally, i think billet’s only belong on target guns
I have had a really hard time trying to find the mur. I know the mur is hard to find I just really like the way it looked on the sun devil lowers. There was a pic I scene on a search and that was what I was looking for. I am going to take my time building this so I get parts that I want. I will look at the larue and dd uppers. Thanx for the help guys. Any guys have one in .204. I am looking into trying to get a good barrel to get put ont thi and would like some opinion, and real world results. I would love to be in the 1/2 moa realm.
1/2 moa a 100 yards would be out of my noveske N4/mur upper.

Why not just buy a Mil-Spec stripped upper? It might not be as tacticool but other than looks and individuality, I don’t see the point.
Welcome to the world of The Black Rifle. If you have a certain rifle pictured in your mines eye and know just what you want to build. Do Not , DO NOT!! let anyone talk you out of just what you want. Listen to someone WHO’S BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT. You will always in the back of your mind think , You know i should have waited and got just what i started out to build/ buy. Because it may be nice and shoot good , BUT you will think back and wonder…

I don’t have any problem finding ammo right now. I will probably not be going with the .204. I am looking at info on the 20 practical(20-223). I may just stick with the .223.

No not at all. You can’t go wrong with anything that Daniel Defense makes, in fact the clamp-on gas block is actually stronger than anything other than pinned. I think you’ve got a good start there with the parts that you’re gathering up.
