And so it begins - NEW GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION AND UPDATES HERE

That is like blaming a dam for the rain. I think that they are always pressing this issue at some level so they can leverage faster. It is also part of the 3 yards, 3 yards, 3 yards; punt strategy. They are always pressing while we seem focused on Hail Mary passes or nothing. When it rains, they catch it. They are also ver adept at using whatever it put infront of them. Whatever the event, they twist it their way. What rational person would look at the Parkland case, knowing what we know now, and decide this is the best case to move gun control forward. They know that statistically, they probably won’t get another ‘shot’ at this before midterms, so they had to run their 2 minute drill that they have for school shootings.

No is always the answer to more gun control.

Enforce the NCIS background check system, make sure people who should be reported are reported, etc? Sure.

Any other chicken$hit ban on weapons, magazines, or other feel good laws - NO is the only correct answer, because the Left has proven their desire to ban firearms. Not today, not tomorrow, but eventuallly.

First semi autos. Then when some fool uses a pump shotgun for a crime, those go.

Then a guy shoots up somewhere with two revolvers. Ok, lets just take them away.

How about bolt action rifles from a distance? Ok, those too.

Leftis gun control never ends until they take them all.

Just imagine yourself as a Jew trapped in Nazi occupied Europe.

Think of how nice an AR would feel in your hands in the above situation.

But Yoni, this is the USA, bad things will never happen here.

Funny, Germany was the same way prior to the rise of Hitler.

Before anyone get’s all worked up. I really don’t think we will see such a thing in my life time in the USA.

Which is why I will never give up my guns, just in case.

I have never been one for conspiracy theories but that belief is being sorely tested.

That’s the question, isn’t it?

Are they a bunch of vultures scavenging because an opportunity dropped at their feet, or is some entity “creating” these opportunities for them?

Given what they knew about this latest kid and the way that local LE and the FBI did absolutely nothing when this could be seen coming a mile away… Makes a person wonder, doesn’t it?

The left will do both, take advantage of an incident. They also will create an incident to take advantage of.

They believe the ends justifies the means.

This bill is trash that’s dead on arrival. They won’t pass a damned thing, it just allows them to grandstand in front of voters.

Yes, it does.

I hate when people say this.

Trail of Tears.
Wounded knee.
General eradication of the original inhabitants of the continent.
Slavery and the related atrocities.
Tulsa Race Riots
Roundup of Japanese Americans in WW2.

And those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Now Vermont of all places jumps on the band wagon. Vote his ass out.

Republican Gov. Phil Scott also recommended legislators consider raising the gun-buying age to 21, banning bump stocks and large-capacity magazines and providing $5 million in security grants to schools.

This was after some kid was caught planning a school shooting with a shotgun…

So, you stopped a kid from shooting up a school with a SHOTGUN by having someone actually report a kid that was planning on doing this, and you want to change the laws to stop sales of standard capacity magazines and bump stocks?

WTH does that have to do with this and how on Earth does it help?

Geeze, it is RIGHT IN THEIR F*****G FACES and they look somewhere else. :bad:

Freaking STOP THEM before they get to that point!!! Someone ALWAYS knows they are going to do this. Make laws to provide resources to get them help before they do something.

The biggest thing:

Incentivize reporting.

Make people who report and stop school shooters more famous than the shooters. Get the moronic empty headed actors/celebrities who want to “do something” to bring them on TV and recognize the kids and parents that report and stop these shooters instead of wasting time going after guns. Instead of donating a half a million dollars to fund kids crying and marching in the streets, create a national fund to reward reporting and stopping these crimes. Make these people “heros” and take them on talk shows and TV commercials. Give them their 15 min of fame. People will go through and do lots of things for money and fame.

That would do WAY more to stop these kids that anything else.

But of course, we all know, the real reason for this has nothing whatsoever to do with stopping this. It is about control and nothing else. Getting into office and gaining control is the real plan and more shootings mean more opportunities.

For BOTH sides by the way.

I agree with all of those also. We Jews don’t have an exclusive in this world on suffering. In Rwanda they actually murdered people at a faster rate for 6 months with machetes than the Nazi’s gassed Jews .

My question is this, If a person is not mature enough to buy a rifle at 19, then how can they vote to chose the leader of a nation with a whole bunch of nukes ?

Just watching the roundtable with the President on gun violence…I’m more that a tad worried that he’s nodding in agreement with Feinstein, saying he will look at her “assault” weapons ban…Saying dont be afraid of the NRA, my God… What the F%$k is going on here? So much for his statement that the 8 year war against the 2nd Amendment is over.

Yup. Who could possibly be surprised? This guy has been a tireless enemy of liberty from day one.

Quote from the donald:
“I like taking the guns early,” the president said. “… Take the guns first, go through due process second.”

wow…

Don’t put this shit in AR GD, any more.

Worse yet, a REPUBLICAN congressman just floated the idea that we should close the “gun show loophole” by registering anyone who wants to buy a gun, and that anyone who sold a gun to anyone without a buyer’s permit would be committing a crime. He then stated that law enforcement could set up sting operations to catch people buying and selling guns without registration.

Holy ****, are you kidding me???

I’m hoping it’s just a bunch of hot air. Surely these people are smart enough to realize that their big mouths are jeopardizing their ability to hold office…

Well…maybe not. What if their internal polling shows that the country really has shifted to the “ban guns” side?

That’s a scary thought.

We’re getting sold down the river, all while being called “great people and wonderful patriots”. Reminds me of someone telling me it’s raining while pissing down my back. At this point all I can do is keep contacting my representatives, and take names on how their votes and actions affect me so I know who not to vote for. It sucks being a pee-on citizen, but that ladies and gentleman is our lot in life.

Sorry, seemed like an appropriate place since this affects all of us.
