Ammo, parts, upper, new gun??

Well, if you had some cash, and you wanted to have what you wanted to have, what would you choose? Ammo, (provided you did NOT reload) Parts, (BCG, LPK, Mags) A nice new upper from a very well known maunfacturer (SBR, DMR, ya DA ya DA) or a complete AR of your choice?? You must choose wisely, because…once you choose, you would not be able to choose another. This should be easy for some of you. And yes, there is a reason for this line of questioning. Have at it please.

My first choice would be some quality training with the guns I already own. Second, would be a complete new rifle in .308 followed by truckloads of ammo

I would go with more training, but if I had to buy something would be another quality AR. The whole one is none and two is one idea.

I’d like to have an Aimpoint, but I’m running low on ammo

Do you mean just from those 4 choices, like a what-if question…?

Ammo. For a what-if answer, I’m assuming all the other choices are going away forever. It takes a lot of ammo to outlive your parts. I don’t have much in the way of bench stock, but with a few ARs I’ve got enough to keep at least one functional rifle going WAY longer than the ammo I’ve got on hand. Must… have… more!

I would choose ammo. Granted, it’s nice to have multiple guns to choose from, but you can only shoot so many of them at the same time. I would rather have a shit ton of ammo for a couple of guns than a little bit of ammo for a lot of guns.

This.

I am a “1 gun per role” type guy. I can only accurately fire one weapon at a time, so I only own one firearm for each intended role. This is my AR-15. If you already have an AR-15, buy ammunition. If you do not, buy an AR-15 and then ammunition.

Just ordered a new upper on Black Friday. Currently have lots of ammo, although it’s never enough.

Nope, it isn’t. I’m probably sitting on close to 10k rounds of various brands of .223 and 5.56 ammo. I buy somewhere between 500 and 1000 rounds of ammo a paycheck right now to have sent home. Extra money from this deployment has allowed me to pay off my debt and buy a shit ton of ammo. Not having living expenses plays significantly into this however. I want to stockpile enough ammo while I physically can’t go shoot it, so that when I can, I’ll have enough ammo for the training classes I’m planning for this summer, some “ballistic masturbation”, and enough to squirrel away for my SHTF stash.

I would mainly buy ammunition but I would also pick up a good lower. My thought process on this is that uppers are always available and have far less price fluculations than lowers which did increase quite a bit in price during that last elections. So lets say that you have $1000, I would use about $700 for ammo and spend the balance on a BCM comestic blem lower from either bravocompanyusa or grtactical.

Sounds like ammo so far is what people would want. I forgot to include training classes in my initial post, however without all of what I mentioned in the first post, a training class wouldn’t be possible anyway. I also didn’t think about a lower, probably a good idea…cause, you never know. Magazines would also be under the “you never know” banner as well.

I would love to have a suppressed SBR, but ammo and training with my current rifle would probably be the better choice.

Ammo would be top off my list. The cost off ammo has definitely put a damper on the amount of shooting I do.

I feel it’s a little easier to justify an upper or lower every now and again. They seem to stick around better than bullets do.

2 more colt 6920’s and reloading components. i reload so i need all of the components i can get. i’d like to do a few more classes and more mags and spare parts.
