Ammo for class? How are you guys getting it there?

For those of you not going to local classes, how are you getting your ammo to a course you need to fly to?

Moving two cases of ammo is no small feat, do you order it directly to the location? Ship what you already own?

I have quite a bit of ammo that my hope is to dedicate towards training classes…for the non local classes…how do I go about moving it?

Most classes require more than the TSA maximum amount of 11lbs of factory packaged ammo. Try to ship it FEDEX or UPS and just let them know up front what it is. will be cheaper than the extra bag fees at the airport. Have is signature required and pick it up at the FEDEX or UPS office close to the airport your class is in. Coming home should be alot easier if your rifle doesn’t let you down during the class :wink:

  1. UPS it to your hotel/motel. Call ahead and see if the front desk can handle it. Usually, I’ll address it to myself, identifying myself as a guest, and at least the check-in date:

30 cal slut, guest of hotel (2/29-2/31)
c/o Roach Motel
City, State, Zip

  1. Arrange to UPS it to a person who may be helping organize the class locally and will be attending.
