Ammo at Wal Marts...

Lately, shotgun and hunting rifle calibers, along with 22LR and 22 WMR, have been available at Wal Marts around here on the regular. However, I have yet to see any pistol caliber ammo.

Is this all Wal Marts or just around here?

Walmart isn’t going to sell pistol or military type rifle ammo anymore. I forgot which mass shooting sent them over the edge into wokesville, somebody here will know.

Well that blows

Picked up a few hundred rounds of CCI Stingers at Walmart the other day. Plenty of other .22 loads, along with Fed and Win .308 150gr JSPs. I was kind of surprised to see the .308, but deer season is over.

A couple of other stores have as much 9mm as you care to buy, some as low as .34/rd or so with no upper limit.

Ammo availability is very local these days.

It really blows here in Ca. Because of the ammo back ground check, we don’t even get .22’s or SG shells at Walmart. No soup whatsoever for us.

Every time I lament about the area I currently live, there’s always that nice little reminder that at least I ain’t in Cali.

A few years ago they were going to put in a Walmart near me. One of the big things they touted was that they would not sell any ammunition. I was at the local meeting, and I said that’s the only reason I shop at Walmart.

There was a shooting AT Wal Mart a couple years back. I thought they decided to get rid of all firearms and all ammo. If any have .22 even I’m kinda surprised.

Here’s the response from Walmart and their plan because of the mass shooting in El Paso, TX in 2019(?).

The Sterling Virginia Walmart I got to has had empty ammo shelves since they pulled it all nearly 2 years ago. In the the past few months I have seen 22lr show up in limited amounts. I decided to check around in a few other Walmarts in northern VA and the other three I went in also had a few boxes of 22lr.

Well, if they don’t want my ammo money I ain’t gonna make em take it.

I need to figure out my retail choices. I dropped the closest grocery cause they refused to honor or transfer our ivermectin scrips, so now it’s an extra 5 miles to Walmart or an extra 30 to another grocer. Either of which may have done the same. At least I found a compounding pharmacy that is happy to take my money and dispense what the doc scribbles.

Seen 2 YouTube videos(different people, states, and dates) where the Walmart pharmacy declines Ivermectin and both seemed to indicate a nationwide policy.

Ammo at Walmart? WHY? My two both have either Big 5 or Sportsman’s Warehouse right across the parking lot where I can get ammo for a lot less abuse.

Locally, they 1. Will have at least .22 ammo weekly in stock 2. It’s about half price of what most other retailers are charging- they have not substantially raised prices since the Chinky Pox Panic 3. I’m in Walmart for something every other week or so, simple enough to swing by the counter…

Mybe your Walmarts have better people in that section than mine do, granted I’m also stuck in Bluedouche Hell.

still amazed this is allowed. Can’t force IDs for voting but all this gun control bs. Only stops when we start marching I believe

Does walmart require ID to buy ammo?

They only check if you look it. In the past you had to be 21 to buy handgun ammo, 18 for rifle / shotgun. They always asked me if the 9mm was going to be for handguns or rifles, I always said submachine gun and confused the F out of them.

The employees only knew that they needed to enter something in the register to complete the sale. I should check my local Wally World to see if they actually have .22 ammo again. I wish we had some alternative at the same or lower cost, but we don’t. We have Theisens but they are quite a bit higher when it comes to ammo.

Walmart has been a gold mine of 22LR ammo at $.06/per bang. I haven’t seen anythign else there other than .350 legend.

My Wally world has some .308 Win hunting ammo for $22/box of 20. They occasionally have overpriced bulk pack .22lr and some slightly overpriced CCI 22LR. .350 legend just sits in the case dusty.
