Am I holding my gun right?

I can’t decide if I am holding my handgun right or not. It looks like it’s off center, but it sits right in the web of my hand and doesn’t contact the bone at the base of thumb. It’s also aligned with my radius (forearm bone) right where it starts at the wrist.

People still smoke Marlboro Smooths?

I haven’t taught a handgun class in almost two years now, but I don’t think there’s much I can tell by your pictures. Pressure of grip, support hand placement, trigger pull, and stance will have more impact on your shooting than any minor changes noticeable in the posted photos. It’s in your hand, so that’s a start.

Have you thought about seeing a dermatologist?

Yup, I smoke Smooths!

If you’re referring to the mole on my arm, that’s a birthmark I’ve had since birth, no worries.

Mole? What mole, I didn’t even see it…

Smooths are an acquired taste I suppose. Like Moxie soda, or minestrone stew MREs.

You have any targets lying around that show your impacts? That would probably tell you what to change.

Here’s a start.

Good thread…

Don’t forget arsenic and cyanide

I wouldn’t call cyanide acquired. Everyone I know that’s smelled it thinks it smells delicious from the start.

OP, looks good so far. check out the handguns in action thread.

That would be textbook alignment, however it’s no bueno if you can’t make good contact with the trigger. If holding it this way, you have the tip of your finger on the trigger, you’ll find it ineffective. If you are holding it like this and the pad is in place or even the first joint, you should be good.

Looks pretty good to me. Are you having any accuracy/recoil control
Problems? If not I wouldn’t worry about it

I tried this grip for years. It seems to be basically the same things you see in the Magpul dvds with Travis and Chris too. I just can’t do it well with a Glock.
