if it smells like VOCs, you can use lacquer thinner… i have no idea what it’s got for a solvent, though.
Having spent 20+ yrs. in the paint/refinishing industry in my past, I’d like somebody to explain what ‘VOCs’ smell like. Don’t base your decision to use lacquer thinner in a liquid medium by how it smells. I can show you several refinishing liquids that will turn to a cottage cheese consistency almost immediately upon contact with lacquer thinner, not to mention what it’ll do to your equipment.
