Here’s my first attempt at building a battle rifle. Criticism, positive or negative is welcome. It’s how you learn.

*It’s taken about two and half months to get all these parts together. I just bought a piece here and a piece there as the finances allowed. I’m about $1600 into it right now. I still needed to get the front site gas block pinned to the barrel, that’s about $60 at the local gunsmith.
**I already see a problem with the BCM “Gunfighter” mod 4 charging handle and the LMT rear sight. The “Gunfighter” latch is a little big and the LMT thumb screw sticks out too much. I’m gonna switch to the BCM “Gunfighter” mod 5.
***After getting it all together and holding it in my hands for a little bit, I think I want to go with a shorter barrel.
