Has anyone try this with their Ar-15 lower .

I just sold my rem 700 30/06 the other day ( hunting rifle) and was thinking of getting this in the future to replace my rem 700 for deer hunting.
Is this too much for deer or am I better off building an AR-10.
i have the beowulf entry upper, it worked flawlessly with my stag lower. i dont hunt but ive heard good things about this and hunting. there is a dedicated forum for the beowulf. hope you reload though, this beast is expensive to feed;)
I have been deer hunting since I was a young lad, and I would imagine that a .50 would be overkill, especially since I have taken down many deer with the 22 Hornet.
Then again, I’m not very familiar with the ballistics of this round.
Also, I was at the range a couple of weeks ago and someone was shooting their .50 Beowulf. It was deadly accurate, <1 MOA at 100 yards using his own hand loads with several different bullet shapes.
ETA- Check out this video of “Future Weapons” feature on the .50 Beowulf. It looks like it kicks like a pissed off donkey.
actually doesnt kick too bad, as long as you have some sort of rubber pad on the stock. too me it kicks like a 20 gauge shotgun, and im not a big guy, 70 inches, about 185 lbs

The .50 Beo kicks about like a light .308 round in my opinion or like elkknuckle says a 20guage shotty.
I’ve had my Beo for 2 years now and have fired nearly 1k rounds through mine… mounted on a Smith M&P lower w/ Magpul UBR stock. I switched to the ubr because I could put an after market “limbsaver-ish” type recoil pad on it.
