I should have built a Krink when parts kits were $550.
Only twenty units in six different configurations and they have already sold three rifles. Must be nice…
One thing I feel I’m missing is a 5.45mm SBR Krink… but at that price, I don’t think so.
I got my kit for a lot less than that. I proabaly have no more than $1400 in my build, tax stamp and all.
Pricey for sure… But it sure looks like a fantastic rifle that I would love to own. Damn thats nice!
I had one built for $1300 about 10 months ago. Unfortunately, the builder charged me twice ($2600) so unless I can get it all worked out (10 months later), it looks like a decent price to me. :D;)
I’d just opt for an SLR-106ur for about $1800 less. The difference would buy me a lot of magazines and ammo.
Then again its clearly aimed at the collectors market and not the average shooter.
Arsenal’s SGL and SLR rifles are their “mainstream” guns and the rest are usually something like this or milled rifles that cost a fortune and appeal more to the collector.
That is exactly what I’ve been waiting for Arsenal to build.
But for $2800, that is a bit much.

I’ve never had a reason to get a SBR. Well that and you can’t own one in Illinois thanks to all the gangbangers up in Chicago. They’re also the reason we can’t defend ourselves in public (no CCW’s) That’s another story though. Anyways, looking at those AKS-74U’s is the first time I’ve ever truly, truly wanted one. Those things look friggin’ sharp. Although $2800 is pretty steep, even if I could legally own one. That’s a SCAR 17 and then some right there.
Jeez, even at current Krink kit prices, I think it would be cheaper to purchase one (assuming you can find one), a receiver, and have it built.

That is amazingly high. That makes the SCAR and 416 look reasonable. Any theories on why they are so bold?

When I read the k-var add I could not figure out the origin of the actual kits which I assume are Bulgy. I would personnaly rather have an Arsenal 104UR that is all Bulgy rather than a mutt with a Russian receiver…especially for $2,800.00. Hell, my Bulgy on nodak receiver only ran $1,400-ish.
I seem to recall that prior to or shortly after the 107 & 106UR release, K-var offered a limited run of SBR krinks so hopefully we will see the 104UR someday. It would be nice to round out the collection witha factory 5.45…
