At a local gun store (sacramento) i saw in the ad that they are selling a century arms WASR-10 ak47 for $549.99.
Is that a good brand?
I’ve been looking to buy an ak for a while now but i’m not sure which brand or what company to order it from. I’m looking for a decent brand, make of an AK. I was wondering if anyone has any experience buying an ak that is from a reputable company.
I’ve been to the website atlantic firearms and they have several versions and i’m not sure which is good. Arsenal, century and few other brands.
I’m not looking to spend a lot but something similar to the century arms price or a little more if the century arms is not that good of an ak make.
Outside of California, that would be considered overpriced by about 150 bucks.
No idea what, if any additional costs you CA guys have to pay for your guns.
There are other, better brands, but if you are sure you want the WASR, check out Henderson Defense, they sell some “certified” WASR rifles for far less than that. They check them for common issues such as crooked sights and mag well fitting. I believe they also sell California-specific models.
A properly assembled AK is gonna run well regardless of who makes it, but there are better variants available for not a whole lot more money.
I’m not dead set on getting this brand. I was just curious and wanted some opionions of what you guys thought.
Like i said i’m willing to spend more but not to much for a better brand.
I’ve heard of century and i read that it’s not all that great.
What do you think of this particular russian ak47 Russian RAK ak47
I figured in cali i will be paying more regardless. I was atlantic firearms website and they sold the same century for cheaper.
In cali the barrel needs to be at least 16inches in length and must have a bullet button installed. Plus when i buy it and get it transferred to my ffl dealer, i will end up paying another 60 bucks.
I should of also mentioned that i would like to have a russian ak47 look more like the original ak47. Wood finish. Although i do like the all black but my first choice is to keep it more to the original russian ak look.
