Does anyone know if AK-47 mags will fit in Eagle Industries M4 double mag pouches? I was issued FSBE I don’t want to buy any MOLLE pouches, but nothing came in the kit for AK mags. Thanks!
Yes, I can fit one in each pouch (using circle 10 mags)
I’ll let you know firsthand that you’ll snag the rear lugs on the sides and will hinder your draw. This is one of the reasons why HSGI Taco’s are so damn good.
I have used Eagle doubles for AK mags (all steel).
One per pouch works well, and I like having a retention flap over my feeder mags.
I recommend storing the mags with rounds up, not only does it avoid catching the notch inside the pouch, it is also more conducive to an AK reload to have a high/mid grip than a low AR mag grip.
