I was curios as to why the amd-65 and maadi’s that have forward grips are angled forward. Is that when your firing without the stock shouldered? It seems the angle would still be better if it was straight or angled to the rear.
To make it easier to insert the curved 7.62x39mm magazine.

The Romanian G AKs are also curved forward for the same reason, although it can still make mag changes challenging at times.
