can an ak like the arsenal slr106 be converted to 7.62 or 5.45?
what parts would be needed if it can?
i have an slr106 that i’m going to sbr and i would rather have it in a different caliber besides 5.56 if it’s something simple like just changing the bcg and barrel.
Anything is possible…you could probably have it made into a 5.45mm, but AK’s aren’t like AR’s, they take some real smithing to work well.
I’d say you’re probably going to be better off selling the 106 and buying a SGL-31 in 5.45mm, or find an Arsenal Inc. SLR-107CR or UR if you want one in 7.62x39mm.
