Brand new Bulgarian steels $12 each.
Buying ten …there are other deals on the net for quantity buys. Saw them as low as $8 or $9 but for USED mags. Take a look at Aim Surplus, Copes Dist, R Guns, Classic Arms, J&G rifle Ranch to name a few.
Also look over on the AK47 and ARFCOM 47 Forums under the MAGAZINES sections. Generrally deals are quickly noted and listed.
I just bought brand new Polish steel 30 rounders that were absolutely NEW from What a Country Inc, in CA. They arrived in a few days, packed well, etc. I think they were $12 each.
Stay away from Korean mags.

Current listing of all 47 and 74 mag prices…worth a look
FN in MT,
Thanks for the links. Is there any difference between the metal Polish and Bulgarian Mags?
Thanks again.
I’m far from an AK mag EXPERT…but steel mag to steel mag…I don’t think theres any functional difference. I’ve always been told by the AK guys in the know… to buy European… stay away from commercial and Korean. Seems to have worked out too.
Only bad 74 mag I have is a commcl Tapco.
Polymer… Bulgy, Polish, Russian, Romanian etc are all good to go as far as I understand.
I’m sure some AK afficianado can argue that such and such Bulgarian has two less spot welds compared to a whatever Romanian, etc. But functionally I think European is the way to go.

I ordered some of the new Polish mags from What a Country. Thanks again.
Best deal going, Romanian Steel 30rd mags for $7.95 a pop…
A side note J & G has the Romanian (Chinese style clam shell) 75rd drums for $89 right now.
just got 12 surplus euro mags from AIM. all in excellent conditon -$9 each
For steel magazines I prefer Chinese smooth-back mags over EE surplus mags.
Me too! Plus the price is right!
