Found a website from GunBroker.com and a vendor is saying his DD Omega 7.0 copy is good enough to use on a real AR? Anyone have experience with using lesser (probably Import) brand equipment issues or is airsoft furniture anywhere close to REAL AR 5.56 furniture quality? The website is waridiot.org
I hope no one is going to ever contemplate that a âcopyâ of a rail (or any other accessories for that matter) made for airsoft is âgood asâ for the âreal steelâ AR-15/M4 in order to âsaveâ a few bucks.
DD MK18 Mod 0 9.5" - Length: 9.5" Rail System Quality: Extremely, even better than the genuine one
Sell the items as same as the photo describe. 2) Item Condition: Brand New 3) Can be mounted on the delta ring prefectly. 4) Material Aluminium with CNC Processing with all marking.
CASV Rail System in Black - High Quality CASV, cannot compare with the poor quality in China.
oh yeah, iâm sure their $70 Daniels Defense Mk 18 RIS is âeven better than the genuine oneâ  they say the quality is âextremelyâ. they just donât mention its extremely shitty.
Buy a quality rail or donât buy one at all. If youâre on a budget you can attach a rail section to your normal M4 handguards, and it will outlast any cheap Chinese airsoft junk.
Did you forget what site you were on when you posted this??
There may be one or two people on this site that would use such a thing⌠if they havenât been run off already. Everyone else sees it for what it is - a waste of money.
Damn their reverse engineering is quick. TOS has a listing for a âcopyâ MBUS at $70 for the set. Someone even posted a question to the seller to rate the quality from 1-10

A little skeptical myselfâŚ:rolleyes:
The airsoft âindustryâ is ate up with illegal/immoral business practices like patent infringement. They take good equipment intelligent people designed (like the DD Omega) copy it (even to the point of using the companyâs logos) without licensing the rights from the company that actually put the money into R&D to make the part, and then go on the web and claim that itâs âjust as good!â and suited for real life use because that gets them more sales.
The cheap mothersucker segment of the gun buying public goes for this stupidity so it all works.
The fellas from Daniel Defense hang out here fairly regularly, so hopefully one of them will see that link and get their legal team to send that jackass a cease and desist letter.
I donât know much of anything about Airsoft/Airsofters, so I wonât judge them too harshly; that said, I can think of no instance where it would make sense to bolt a toy onto a working tool.
Yeah,
Thatâs what I was kind of thinking guysâŚThanks! Newb to the AR realm, but learning a hell of alot from you guys on this site. THANKS! Iâll just save a while longerâŚDonât want crappy quality furniture on my milspec grade DD!
your joking right willie?? advice to you, since your new to the AR world, if you have anymore questions like these about airsoft pertaining to real firearms, i suggest you stay out of the ar world and go play with all the toy guns
I think he got the point from the other posts where someone wasnât a dick to him. We donât all start off with the knowledge of what is shit and what is not otherwise DPMS, RRA, OLY, Armalite, BM, and may many more would not be in business.
Yes he probably should have researched around here a little more but being a douche doesnât help. I say itâs just one more better informed 2A supporter and we need all we can get.
+1. When I used to sell guns at hardware store, I always had new customers come in who had previously been deterred from making their first firearms purchase at a âReal Gun Storeâ, by the dickish attitude of their sales staff. EDIT! Agreed, Airsoft stuff is just that, Airsoft stuff, never use garbage on an actual firearm.
ok, but why would you even consider putting a product made for a TOY onto a real world tool?? Its common sense NOT to combine toys with tools no matter what the reasoning
âCommon senseâ isnât all that commonâŚespecially in the firearms world where everybody is an expert and they fire opinions at you faster than an MG42 can go through a beltâŚwhere terms are abused and people have just enough knowledge to be dangerous to themselves and others. Itâs easy to fall prey to the misinformation because of the sheer volume of it.
The guy didnât buy a ripoff airsoft piece of crap and then try to defend itâŚhe simply asked if the concept was valid. Heâs seeking out good information to either back up or counter what he heard somewhere else. Thatâs good. Thatâs what we want people to do. He now knows that the claims made by that airsoft crook are fruitier than Elton John skipping through a strawberry patch.
Many people simply do not know what they donât know. To his credit, Willie recognized the limits of his knowledge and sought more informed opinions.
