Aimpoint T2 or MRO?

Hey guys, I have narrowed down my search for a new red dot to an aimpoint t2 and trijicon MRO. I like that the MRO has a wider lens so you don’t get that tube effect but I also like that the T2 has less parallax shift in the green eye tactical testing. They are both good optics but what would be your choice and why? I can get the MRO for 500 and the T2 for 700 both with qd mounts. Thanks.

I have had both and ended up selling the MRO. It is a nice optic and worked/functioned just fine. The aimpoint seemed to be easier with my astigmatism, could be placebo since I was more used to the aimpoints in general. I also like the the aimpoint is slightly more compact and sleek imo.

I have multiple T2’s, T1’s, and MRO’s and have no problem getting hits to 300Y as well as similar splits up close with any of them. In fact, any difference really disappears as I concentrate on grip, breathing, and target acquisition.

Personally I like the T1 because it’s the smallest as it has no flip caps I don’t need anyways. The MRO FOV is nice but I think only helps if I had multiple targets moving around close to my aiming point as I shoot both eyes open. The T2 is supposed to be the ultimate super duper so that gives me warm fuzzies but now with the Comp M5 I am questioning myself

My eyes are getting old and they all have the sun burst effect to varying degrees with none having an distinct advantage to me. Just turn them down if you are going for accuracy.

I have multiple rifles I shoot regularly with all 3 models and as soon as I start concentrating on finding targets and making hits I have no idea which I am using.

Dennis.

Yeah I have an h1 and h2 as of now and really wanted the mro but the green eye tactical study showed the mro to have significant parallax shift which kind of turned me off to it. Have you guys noticed any bad shift when shooting in dynamic positions?

I like aimpoints more.
The MRO has a fisheye effect, and a blueish tint.

Right now all I run are 1-4 and 1-6 optics, works much better with my astigmatism.
Recently fell in love with the Trijicon Accupower.

If it makes a difference, Weapon Outfitters has the MRO with mount for $375.

I have multiple T1 and H1 and as of today a new MRO on the Scalarworks mount. Shot the MRO today and I am very pleased - especially for the price difference.

I too have astigmatism and there was no noticeable difference in the “bloom” for me with either the APs or MRO.

I like the size. Sure the APs are smaller but to me the size difference is negligible. And I like the general overall durability and hefty construction. YMMV.

No noticeable parallax issues doing a few different drills including prone and modified prone.

Lastly, the blue tint some have had issues with is not noticeable. In fact it is less than the T1 and H1. No fisheye issues either. The S/N on my MRO is in the 97,000 range and it is known that Trijicon made some improvements to the blue tint and fisheye starting in the 89,000 series.

I’m anxious to get more time on the optic this weekend but I can already tell it’s a good one for me.
