When I tighten the OEM T1 battery cap down, it goes flush with the rheostat dial. The rubber O-ring that is at the base of the threads on the cap is completely invisible, and you would need a razor-blade to feel the joint between cap, and rheostat.
My KAC cap, on the other hand, only tightens down to where the rubber gasket at the base of the threads is about 3/4 inside the rheostat. I can still see it when looking at the cap.
Is this normal? I think the threads are bottoming out, and I didn’t want to tighten it more until I knew whether or not I SHOULD tighten it more, because big dumb determined animal + tiny expensive Swiss parts.
No, just 1 battery, I still have to go and buy another one. I do understand that I need two CR2032’s, each facing the OPPOSITE direction of each other, for this to function correctly. Otherwise, a good bump and my battery is floppy.

I just want to make sure it’s fitting correctly and that I should not be trying harder to “gorilla” it.
That is how mine looks with two batteries. I had the same question when I installed it. I just used some silicone spray on the o ring and tightened it as tight as I could with my hand, it still has a slight gap, like your picture.
