Am I doing something wrong? The top rail of the Ultimak is canted towards the front a bit and not precisely level. It seems a bit of a bear to fit properly.
This is on a WASR. Appreciate any thoughts on the matter. Grant, thanks for the easy and speedy transaction.
IMHO if you really like the feel of the vert grip then I would suggest squaring your stance up and using the magazine as the vert grip.
Vert grips on AK’s, especially on 7.62x39mm AK’s (like yours) tend to get in the way of the reload. Plus you need to go through gyrations to find a way to mount the vert grip.
If you really really like them then I suggest going retro and putting a Romanian wood VFG lower HG on there, and running the UltiMAK topside with the VLTOR scout mount and G2L Nitrolon light. With the wood lower you can even screw in a sling swivel to more suit your tastes.
