Aimpoint Micro T-1/H-1; 1/3 Sight Picture FOV w/ BUIS

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could post user feedback & hopefully pics from the shooters sight perspective of an Aimpoint Micro mounted “high”, Larue -or- Daniels Defense, Iron Sights/BUIS in the lower 1/3 sight picture.

Trying to choose from the Aimpoint Micro vs. Eotech XPS. I want to go with the Aimpoint Micro for its lightweight & IMHO: speed. But, dont want to sacrifice the ability to use Irons as effectively.

Just dont want to spoil myself too much with a “dot” sight and still want the ability to turn the unit off and shoot Irons. I can see the Aimpoint Micro as a Very Fast method of picking up targets, but seems the sight “tube/window” with its size would be small in comparrison the the larger Eotech window. Either optic unit will be fixed mounted with Iron Sights always in the lower 1/3.

Thank you for the time.

Have a great one

KAC and ADM make mounts worth looking at as well for the T-1. Bobro has one in the works, but its not released yet.

Ive used both the T1 in a LaRue mount and the LaRue BUIS together as well as an M3. The best way I can describe it is the ears of the BUIS kind of straddle the lower half of the T1, and then if you want to use the irons just move your head down slightly. The dot will be in the bottom part of the T1. I didn’t find the LaRue BUIS to get in the way of my FOV overall. Its a very quick transition going from just the T1 to the irons.

“Belmont31R”, Thank you very much for posting those pics, Appreciate it. “Stickman”, Thanks for the heads up on mounts.

I should have known better, but my “search-fu” was running low on caffine.
