i put a aimpoint m4 on my new 6920 should i sight it in for a 100 yds or at 50 yrd ,what does the military sight in at.
Nice combo!
I would advise sighting it in to your needs. We are zeroed at 200 meters, but that doesn’t really apply to everyone.
If you are going to be shooting at 100yds/m the most, zero it for 100. I zero all of my rifles for 300m just to be consistent. The rounds hit high at 100m, but they are still on target. The 50m/200m zero is good if you don’t plan on taking shots past 200m. It translates into less of a shift at 100m.

A 50/200 yard zero has more utility, but 100 yard (which is what a lot of former Delta/Unit/CAG trainers recommend) would be perfect for most applications. I prefer the 50/200 yard zero personally. There’s a really good thread on here somewhere that has all kinds of graphs for this debate, from 25, 50, 100 yard zeros.
I zero my Aimpoints at 50. This puts me slightly low at 25, slightly high at 100, and just about on again at 200. No matter the distance, I’m in center mass.
