Aimpoint M4 versus the T1

Today we shot a course of fire consisting of paper and steel targets at ranges from 25 meters to 200 meters. We used a Colt 6920 equipped with an M4 and an LMT MRP with a T1.Both sights worked well.Off-hand shots on steel were fast and easy with both optics. We noticed absolutely no differences in speed or practical accuracy between the two. However, the T1 was more difficult to adjust and not as precise as the M4 when shooting groups.Group size can, however, be contributed to the 4MOA dot of the T1.
I would highly recommend either one. However,if size or weight isn’t an issue, the M4 would be your best option.
The T1 does have an advantage when used for CQB. It’s lower profile reduces(almost completely eliminates)blind-spots typically encountered when using a weapon equipped with an optic.
Hope this might help some of you.

The smaller diameter of the tube also lends itself well to employing the optic as a “ghost ring” if the dot goes down.
